PS: Political Science & Politics (PS) provides critical analysis of contemporary political phenomena and is the journal of record for the discipline of political science reporting on research, teaching, and professional development. PS, begun in 1968, is the only quarterly professional news and commentary journal in the field and is the prime source of information on political scientists' achievements and professional concerns.
The 15-member PS Editorial Board advises the editor-in-chief in matters involving the journal. Members of the board review essays submitted for inclusion in the journal, offering comments and suggestions on publication. Members serve a three-year term and are appointed by the president of the American Political Science Association.
The current editor in chief is Robert J-P. Hauck.
